ifesca GmbH has raised equity funding from KION GROUP AG and bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH

Düsseldorf – Corporate Finance International (’CFI’) is pleased to announce that they acted as financial advisor to ifesca GmbH in its Series B financing round to support ifesca’s growth and expansion of sales activities globally.

ifesca GmbH is an industrial IoT company backed by the talents of Fraunhofer Institute employing Artificial Intelligence to enable optimal decision-making and data-based energy management. Ifesca helps clients to reduce energy consumption and reallocate resources towards their most efficient use by providing fully automatized processes and creating real-time energy forecasts. Its self-learning AI-system makes it possible to analyze massive data streams and to master the challenge of digitization.

Linde Material Handling GmbH led the financing round and the existing shareholder bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen GmbH co-invested. Linde Material Handling is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of forklift trucks and warehouse equipment and a 100% subsidiary of the listed KION Group AG, a 45% subsidiary of the Chinese Weichai Power Co. Ltd.. bmt is a VC and PE company with the focus on business in the state of Thuringia.

Weichai Power Co. Ltd. is a Chinese state-owned listed company specialized in the research and development, manufacturing and sale of diesel engines. Its products are used in vehicles, marine vessels and power generators.

Cornelia Boese (Senior Investment Manager at bm-t beteiligungsmanagement thüringen) commented on cooperation: “CFI Germany supported us throughout the entire transaction very well. We were particularly impressed by the stringent process and negotiations management. CFI Germany has enormously contributed to the successful deal closing.”

The transaction closed in October 2021.
