SPIE acquires Worksphere from Strukton

Amsterdam – CFI is pleased to announce that it acted as the M&A advisor to SPIE SA (“SPIE”) on its intended acquisition of Strukton Services B.V. (“Worksphere”) from Strukton Groep N.V. The transaction is subject to consultation of employee representation bodies and approval of EU antitrust authorities. SPIE expects to complete the transaction in Q1 2022.

Worksphere enjoys a top-5 position in the Dutch multi-technical services market and is, with 1,900 employees and EUR 434 million 2020 revenues, a recognised market leader in digital building services. Headquartered in Utrecht, Worksphere offers a wide range of services to a high-quality and diversified customer base in the commercial, healthcare, mobility and education sectors, across the entire life cycle of their assets from engineering, installation to operation and maintenance.

With the acquisition of Worksphere, SPIE will become the largest multi-technical services provider in the Netherlands, with revenues in excess of EUR 1.2 billion (2020 pro forma). Thanks to unmatched know-how, an extensive services portfolio and a densified local presence, SPIE will be the partner of choice for over 2,500 clients throughout the Netherlands. A unique employer brand and a strong visibility of flagship projects will result in increased attractiveness for technical talents.

CFI backed SPIE as M&A advisor in this auction, which ultimately resulted in the acquisition of Worksphere.
